Sometimes Romance lets us take a peek at fantasy professions. Many of us dream of a life in high fashion. (Not me. I like low fashion. I know its been a good week by the amount of pajama pants in the laundry).

I have read great loves stories- Contemporary, Historical and Paranormal where the fashion industry is featured. Photographers,  Bloggers, Dressers, Designers, Critics, Columnist, Fashion Show Directors, Couture Shop Owners, Buyers...

Here are some great Romance in the Work of Fashion. My lists are never in any order.

Models have their own list.

1.  The Dangers of Deceiving a Viscount by Julia London

Lady Phoebe Fairchild is well aware that the ton would be appalled to learn of a young lady of quality involved in a trade. Therefore, she resorts to selling her beautiful handmade gowns under a fictitious name: Madame Dupree. So when circumstances force her to visit the estate of William Darby, the Viscount of Summerfield, to design ball gowns for his sisters, she assumes Madame's identity. Phoebe's discomfort in her new position as hired help is nothing compared to her visceral attraction to the viscount himself. Heathenishly handsome and shamelessly seductive, Will invites her to be his mistress -- and Phoebe is shockingly tempted to accept. But as their desire for each other grows and the risk of exposure becomes even greater, Phoebe is in dire danger of losing her reputation, her livelihood -- and her chance of becoming the bride of the man whose passion has claimed her forever.

2. A Time to Love by Barbara Delinsky

It is the ultimate in luxury and privacy -- a villa nestledamid brilliant sunlight and gently waving palm trees on a secluded Caribbean beach. There Arielle Pasteur hopes to find the solitude she desperately craves.

Instead she ends up sharing her sensuous surroundingswith a man who sparks memories of a painful past she thought she'd put behind her. Devastatingly handsome fashion photographer Chris Howe seems like an overbearing, egotistical chauvinist. Yet behind the glittering celebrity façade lurks a tenderness that begins to soften Arielle's protective shell. But before she can trust him with her fragile heart, she must learn to trust herself.

3. Random Acts of Fashion by Nikki Rivers

An "accident" sent Gillian Caine reeling when Lukas McCoy ran into her—and left her with a broken arm. Luckily, a helpful judge assigned him to help finish getting her new shop ready. Bringing silk, satin and high fashion to Timber Bay, Michigan—home of flannel, wool and practical granny panties—wasn't going to be easy, but Gillian was up for the challenge.

Or was she? Because the warm, caring people of Timber Bay had no trouble resisting her fashion ideas. Didn't they realize the power in a makeover? Suddenly desperate, Gillian knew she needed their attention—and no broad-shouldered, heterosexual man with no fashion sense would stand in her way!

Until she found herself in his arms….

4. Cabin Fever by Jillian Burn

Let the fever burn…

Fashion blogger Carly Pendleton figured the "Sexiest Average Joe" cruise winner would be, well, sexy. But up close, fireman Joe Tedesco is insanely good-looking. Still, with exactly one chance to prove herself to the cutthroat fashion industry, not even the hottest hot dude will make this frosty fashionista break a sweat….

Until she wakes in the middle of the night to discover Joe in her bed.

They have nothing in common…except for a combustible chemistry that quickly turns delectable kisses into even more wicked nights. And when the cruise ends, so does the fling. But a fireman never runs from the heat—even if it means getting burned.

5. Dare To Love by Yahrah St. John

Sassy fashion buyer Lexie Thompson has had a series of no-strings relationships, which suits her just fine. That’s until her best pal Nia suggests a blind date with her fiancé’s best friend: charismatic William Kennedy, owner of the hot nightclub Millennium. Sparks certainly fly, when they meet…but they burn a bit too hot – Lexie thinks sexy, confident Will is arrogant, while he’s convinced she’s gorgeous, but shallow. When Lexie’s put in charge of her company’s fashion show and needs a venue, Will offers Millennium. Lexie reluctantly agrees, but as they work together, she realizes she misjudged him. Can Will convince the love ‘em and leave ‘em Lexie that they’ve got what it takes to last a lifetime?

6. Sugar and Spice by Tawny Weber

The lady has been waiting…
Dedra Hanson has three addictions: gorgeous shoes, yummy treats and her sexy boss. Love of her job has always kept the administrative assistant from acting on her passion for the handsome CEO. Besides, she’s already seen how ugly things could get when her father made his secretary her stepmother. But when Paul starts looking for a bride, the clock starts ticking on Dedra’s resolutions.

A prince in need of a princess…
As CEO of a company specializing in luxury footwear, all Paul Chastain wants to do is run a successful business. But the board insists a more mature man might be a better leader. Mature as in married. He hasn’t been holding out for a fairy tale romance, but there must be someone better than the board’s suggested bride.

A magical merger…
With the playboy CEO about to become engaged to a chilly socialite, Paul becomes fair game. All Dedra needs for one wild fantasy night is a little help from a café-owning fairy godmother, a magically delicious truffle and the desperate knowledge that if she doesn’t go for it now, she may lose the chance forever. After all, her plane leaves at midnight…

7. Making over the Billionaire by Joan Kilby

After a failed bid to be the first American designer at House of Borhlenghi, Layla Langham is crushed. She's certain she's perfect for their company, and she's risked all her savings to prove it. But Giorgio Borhlenghi's sisters think Layla's perfect, too—for the design house and their workaholic brother. They convince her they'll sway their brother into accepting her designs if she'll get him to stop working for a long weekend—by any means necessary.

Giorgio Borlenghi suspects Layla's invitation for a relaxing lunch is something his sisters fashioned to lure him away from his desk. But instead of turning the sexy redhead away, he decides to teach all three ladies a lesson and "kidnaps" the beautiful designer to his family's yacht in Naples to see just how far the ambitious designer wants to take this ruse...

Neither expected one kiss could lead to enough heat to burn up the sheets for days—nor make them want to give up work and never leave the bedroom again.

8. Hot Mama by Jennifer Estep

Fiona Fine is the hottest fashion designer in Bigtime, N.Y.—literally. That's because she moonlights as Fiera, a superhero with superstrength and volatile, fire-based powers. As Fiera, she's also a member of the Fearless Five, the city's most powerful and popular superhero team.

However, Fiona's been through a lot lately, including the death of her fiancé, who was murdered by an ubervillain. But Fiona is ready to move on with her life, so it seems like good karma when she meets sexy businessman Johnny Bulluci at a friend's wedding.

But Fiona has little time to think of love thanks to Siren and Intelligal—the city's newest ubervillains who crash the wedding and then go on a city-wide crime spree. Fiona doesn’t know exactly what the ubervillains are up to, but if she doesn't figure it out, she's the one who just might go up in flames this time....

9. Just for Fun by Rosalind James

Englishman Lake Benson loaned his life savings to his dippy sister so that she could buy a shop. It was a big mistake. His sister has been steadily flushing his money down the drain – and now he wants it back. Years in the special forces taught Lake that if you want a job done, do it yourself. So he steps in to make the shop profitable, sell it and get his money back. The only problem is, the business is an underwear shop. And all Lake knows about underwear can be summed up in how fast he can unsnap a bra. To make matters worse, the tiny highland town already has a lingerie shop. A successful one, run by an ex-lingerie model. A very gorgeous ex-lingerie model, who’s distracting him from his mission more than he’d like to admit. If Lake wants to get his savings back, and get out of Scotland, he only has one option – wipe out the competition.

Kirsty Campbell has spent years rebuilding her life after she woke up in hospital in Spain to find her body scarred, and her ex-fiance had run off with all her money. The last thing she needs is a cocky, English soldier-boy trying to ruin all she has left. Her home town is only too happy to help her fight the latest English invasion, although Lake is beginning to sway them with his sex appeal and cut price knickers. With the help of her mother, and the retired ladies of Knit or Die, Kirsty sets about making sure that her shop is the last one standing in Invertary.

It’s Scotland versus England as you’ve never seen it before. It’s lingerie war

Nic Wilkinson is a responsible, organized, disciplined rugby player at the top of his game. Emma Martens is a sometimes-scattered, often-emotional, and always-broke would-be designer with a big chip on her shoulder where Nic’s concerned.

They have no history together, except one perfect week. Nothing in common anymore, except the most important thing of all.

Getting together again would be messy. Complicated. Scary. And, just maybe, worth every risk.
