I liked Campbell's voice as a writer and really enjoyed the humous moments of the book with the pets. These sets of dialogue were awesome! This love story is a madcap caper kind of romance-romantic comedy meets romance suspense. While the book was fun, the characters did not really captivate me because so much of who they were was revealed in backstory rather than woven into the love story. The hero resists so much that I don't really get the falling in love feeling I so enjoy in books like this. I needed more of the relationship to really invest in this story.I did like the secondary characters a great deal and will check out books about them that may come along.I was given this book for my honest review.
