Pieces of Paper: A Short Story Set in Tokyo - Jeannie Lin

A chance encounter brings a hint of romance to a young woman's journey through the streets of Tokyo. This semi-autobiographical short story by the author of Butterfly Swords explores questions of identity and connectedness in the digital age.

Review

I picked this short story up because I have been wanting to read Lin's work for some time and was hoping this would be a nice taste.

This short story shows off the charm Lin's writing. However, this short was really short. We get a hinting blush that there is a HEA but we don't even really get a full date. Sigh.

I liked very much the look at being an Asian American in Tokyo but did wish for more of the love story.

I will be picking up more of her books!
