While I have mixed feelings about The Sweet Science that is boxing, I love being submerged into unfamiliar worlds.

Since the first depictions of boxing that have been found are Sumerian and date from the 3rd  millennium BC, there is rich ground for story telling predating our current MMA Fighter, Cage Fighter, and Underground Fighter New Adult craze.

In fact, in one of my favorite scenes from any Romance, Lord Carew, knocks it out in a boxing duel. Literally. If you haven't read this book, you must- Lord Carew's Bride by Mary Balogh
