3.5 Stars I am excited to start this new series by a new to me writer! I love dragons shifters and Callahan creates a interesting dragons. It is fun to see what different talents each dragon male will have. There is a lot of humorous internal thoughts by the heroine that make this a good read! The heroine in this book is smart and little bit quirky. Her reaction to all the things that happen is realistic. The hero is a ton of dragon shifter hotness with the weight of his clan on his shoulders. The action is fast paced and engaging as is the love story. They have a good dynamic. I am looking forward to seeing the other characters get their own stories. I will be reading the rest of the series and already have the next one qued up. What kept this book from being excellent for me is a lack of rerereadablity that comes from scene, moments, and dialogue that are so special of fun I want to revisit them again and again. Some of the issue here are character development. I can tell this is a series where the characters will round out as the books roll out. This will work over time but leaves this book a bit thin. There is also a basic premise of the book that some dragon knowledge has been lost that is less than believable. I don't really need there to be the crazed villain but that is just me. Overall, very enjoyable. Come get your dragon on!
