Cat's Books: Romance

This book is a bit of a car crash of genres. It is a bit of chick lit with its first person funny but is also women's fiction because the lead character is not in her 20's and has kids and recovering from a divorce and there is more than one man/one relationship here. Then, we have the Romance though it is more of a Happy for Now ending and last erotic romance with the insta sex and BDSM. Some times all of this works it the book and sometimes it is a mess. I am not a huge fan of having one love interest in one part of the book and another in the second half. I would liked the book much more if we started right after the ending of her first post divorce relationship and spent much more time with the good doctor. I would have especially have liked to see the couple working through an actual relationship and then getting a big fat happy HEA. All the characters would have been much more developed this way and I would have been much more connected. So some good funny moments here. I might try this writer again but if I get more women's fiction then not so much for me.
