It is always nice to find love right in the neighborhood. Here are some great romances that take place between neighbors.

While I have never really loved any of my neighbors (I did love/crush on a neighbor's brother who came to visit her on his badass motorcycle once though--See my Cycle of Love post),  I have had a couple men/boy next doors that might make a good hero in a romance novel and were fun to look at through the blinds, open doors, and the over fence. For fun, I will list some of the neighbors I have had that might make for a good story line.

1. The dark shaggy haired teenage boy whose apartment door was just across from mine on a shared porch.  I think I was 7 and he came with kittens as well.  I am sure he looks back at me as his one true love if only I been a wee bit older.

2.  Keith, a very white teed Outsiders looking young man of around 12, who lived down the street from me when I was the same age and I am fairly certain had a crush on me to which I was clueless and made him play Trivia Pursuit when he came over. Ah, the 80's.

3.  Robert. I should have had a crush on Robert but didn't. A handsome skateboarding Mexican punk rock lover a bit on the big beautiful man side. Across the street from the lime green duplex I lived in during high school.

4. The model/artist of Spanish Textbooks named Bryan who liked to leave the door of his LA apartment open to let a breeze in while he sketched Pilar es bonita  in the buff. I would walk straight up our shared stairs in that starlit vision at least once a month as would my boyfriend (now husband). Again, I had no thing from Bryan but the view was nice and would make a good romance novel.

5. Phil! Bass player in a speed metal band that toured Europe regularly and now extreme sports camera man. He had dimples and that revved up energy of an adrenaline junkie.  We shared the stoop between our condos during my graduate school years. Alas, no crush there either but he would make a fun hero. He married an older woman.

6.  Now, I have drunk Tom across the way. While he is not hot, he is nice and always tells me when I have forgotten to close my car door. lol There is a lady from down the street that does toddle over a few days a week to sit with him in his garage and laugh loudly so there is a match out there for all of us!

I would love to hear your recommendations! for great romances where the couple are neighbors   To vote for the best of the best, go to the Goodreads List: Love Thy Neighbor.
