Review
This wonderful romance is a love letter to New York City at the turn of the century. All the little details of public transport, the telephone and city living add to the sweet story of ex boxer meets spinster.
While I do wish the backstory of the hero and the heroine had each been a little richer and the heroine's moment of panic more nuanced, this older woman younger man romance is made up of so many exquisite details of place and character that its sure to become a holiday reread. Falling in love at Christmastime in New York, what could be better?
